             " Sonic Curtain "

Picture

The Multichannel Interactive Sensor Based Sound Installation called The
" Sonic Curtain " Was First Time Exhibited @ THE "Sonic Arts Network Expo Brighton" in 2008.
THE 'sONIC cURTAIN' is A Concept Of A Musical Space & Its Spatial Characteristics Focusing On The Subject Of Open Form In Music (After Arnold Schönberg). linda created
a 12 tone raw Which Responds To A Physical Input In A Situational Context Which In Turn Operates Within A Social Dimension. Each Strand Reacts When Touched And Moved Within A Specific Sound Source Varying In Pitch, Volume, Duration And Timbre.
Linda’s Interest Also Lies In The Structure And Texture Of Objects As Well As The Correlation Between An ' Sculpture As Object " And The Space Surrounding It.
Linda Further Thought Of Exhibiting The "Sonic Curtain" As A Visual Record
Of Our Modern Culture By Capturing And Transforming The ' Sonic Curtain's '
Door Frame As an " Everyday Object " By Adding Symbol Details To It.
she is Marking The Object As An Artistic form of artifact.

"transverse" Nr. 1

this interactive sound painting called ' Transverse' Nr. 1 and is Based On One Of Many Electro ACoustic Music Scores I've composed over the past 8 years. I've transformed the canvas into a Mono Sounding Everyday Artifact by building a Sensor and loudspeaker into the painting. REad The Painted Music Score From Left To Right And AT The Same Time Listen To The Sound Of ' Transverse' Nr. 1 By Moving Your Hand Over The loudspeaker. As For The Painting I've Used recycled and Mixed Media MAterial. I've further used for the soundscape composition recycled sound objects found From a Online Archive Sound library. This Interactive sound artwork will be soon downloadable via youtube and vimeo.
